The Samsung SCH-U470 “Juke” is a stylish cellular phone with a wide selection of features. The 64 MB Flash / 32 MB RAM and 2 GB music storage memory keeps up to 500 MP3s handy for playing on the phone’s built-in digital media player. Also, 72-note polyphonic ringtones are included – and the phone is able to use an MP3 as a ringtone. The internal display is 262K TFT color - with a resolution of 128 by 220 pixels and a size of 1.45”. The VGA camera features a self-timer, a Night Shot setting, and three quality settings. The user is also able to choose from a number of built-in photo effects, including sepia, emboss and negative.

The Samsung SCH-U470 has stereo sound and a number of optional colors - including red, teal and navy blue. A matching-color stereo headset is also included. The phone measures 3.82” high in compact mode, and at 1.18” wide, the phone is thinner than most other mobile phones.

Another interesting function on the phone is the GPS – this function provides turn-by-turn directions courtesy of Verizon NavigatorSM.

The phone is designed around a pivot and the top panel moves much like the arm of a windmill. The number pad is revealed when the top panel, which includes the screen and music controls, is rotated into full position.

The phone’s many extras include embedded wallpaper, voice memo and voicemail, SMS messaging, instant messaging, and Bluetooth and USB compatibility. Offline mode is included in the phone.

The Samsung SCH-U470 music phone operates on the CDMA 1x 800 MHz / 1900 MHz band. Users can talk for up to 3.5 hours on a standard battery, and up to 7 hours on a long-life battery. The phone’s standby time is 250 hours on a standard battery or 500 hours on a long-life battery. A 500-entry phonebook and assortment of Personal Information Management functions, including stopwatch and calculator, comes standard.
