Dating Leads to Marriage, Marriage Leads to Divorce

The divorce rate in the United States is rising above P. Too many people get into relationships because they enjoy the idea of being in love and are not actually truly in love. What is true love? Well first of all true love is not all the good stuff. It is about being able to see the bad things in the other person and seeing right through them. Most people in relationships fail to do this. They enjoy their relationship at first but than the law of diminishing returns steps in. I believe that the law of diminishing returns is not a law though. A good relationship occurs when both people allow natural growth and learning. The problem is that many people go into a relationship without understanding what a relationship is. One of the first things you should do in a relationship is openly share everything including money. Do not have two bank accounts! Money is major reason for divorce. It is not all money though. Two people must share a common bond with each other. By saying common bond, I do not mean that there is one soul mate out there for you. I mean that two people must be able to align personal values and invest in the relationship. You can have opinions in a relationship, just be open minded to the other persons thoughts and then you will learn from each other.
