Now that you website’s been setup and all the content’s been added what’s there to do. Just sit back and collect the money generated, right? Wrong! If you’re expecting to generate income from a few webpages without any other effort, you are in for disappointment. You’ve got to set a good foundation for the income to grow on. There are several ways to getting your sites to yield the income you expect:

1) Get a good program to promote traffic to your site. Have a look around the internet for programs promoting traffic sales and get one that suits your needs.

2) Exchange banners with other websites. You put their banner on your website. In exchange, they agree to place your ad banner on their website.

3) Start writing those reviews and blogs. Include your website or affiliate links on the biography section. This way, you get paid when people click on them. Just writing the blogs isn’t enough. Each blog has to be unique and have quality content. If not, you risk having Google’s crawlers regard it as spam and the blog would not show up on searches. Most people copyright the content on their websites so be careful. If you plagiarize someone else’s work you would get sued. Can’t or don’t know how to write articles, then buy them or go to sites where they give you articles in exchange for adspace website.

4) Make sure your site has more to it than affiliate programs. If your site has nothing else to offer besides affiliate programs, your visitors won’t be coming back to your site anytime soon. Have an ezine or articles database to keep getting the visitors. Update the articles and newsletters constantly to keep the website buzzing with old and new visitors.

5) Write ads on Google and Yahoo. Place your ads on search engines as well. Ensure your ads are related to the products being sold on your website. If you don’t know how to write ad copy online, there are many free ad copy samples which can be found online.

Lastly, never give up. Keep writing blogs and reviews, keep advertising your website. Gradually, the sales on your website would improve tremendously. Don’t give up. Website owners often put a lot of work into their site with ads and blogs but quickly abandon their site when the money is slow in coming in. Have patience. The site’s visitors and sales will grow. Just wait a month or two, and would see your efforts bearing fruit.
