What do your customers want? Do you really know? This is a most critical question. The only way you can serve your clients is to know what they want and find ways to get it to them. The rule stands on this premise if you help enough other people get what they want, they will make sure you have what you want.
Too many people in business make assumptions about what their prospects and clients want. There are many ways to figure this out but the best method by far is to simply ask them. Probe your audience and determine if your products and services will meet the mark. If you are in a business where repeat business is desirable (there are few that are not), consider asking them this question and you could see your profits soar.
What is the one thing that would make you feel good about spending more money on the products/services you buy from me?
That simple question followed by an honest response could be a spark for new products and services. It could be a gateway for more referrals. It could be the one thing that doubles your profits.
It is very likely that one of your complaints as a consumer is having people shove stuff in your face and never take the time to find out what you really want. It is even more frustrating to tell someone what you really want, only to have them ignore you. Ask your clients and prospects and watch your profits soar.
