Family is a Great Thing to Have. a Source of Love

Family is a great thing to have. It’s a source of love, training on life; knowledge and safety. It’s a harbor from the unknown world for a child. In a good family you should have nurture and devotion. Appreciation of human life and living (or life’s experiences). Those of us who have been privileged with upbringing (in a good family) have found bliss in the joy of life. Lessons a good family will teach (and should teach) are dignity, appreciation of self (self worth), decency, and courtesy with people, encouragement with outward endeavors, good understanding of material possessions, and purpose of work and importance of responsibility. Likewise, social skills are learned and honed in a good family. On the other side of things we find disharmony and discord. Presence of ill manners and indiscriminate conduct. These should not be. A lot of people have grown up with violent experiences as children. Their outcome is sometimes positive due to providence; while some others have not been very fortunate. Perhaps, these privileged few chose to turn out better that the depravity which they came from. The ugly cases reveal much aggression; sadness and apathy towards life and living.
Some parents take advantage upon their (less privileged) situation of lack and poverty. Thereby forcing their children into inhumane, compromising and sometimes dangerous situations. Prevalence of such can be found across societies around the world. Parents like these base their reason for such actions on claims of authority over their children; and/or necessity to survive; (drug peddling, child trafficking, child labor/servants, street hawking).
Perhaps they lay that claim, but the again they say their decisions are result of socio-economic predicament of their state or economy.
Nevertheless, family love and values should be upheld irrespective of socio-economic circumstances. A parent’s love for a child should not be treated with levity. It must not be overlooked for any reason whatsoever. Respect should be taught, given and received in turn. Freedom should be allowed children to find their footing and character. Further, freedom should be allowed children in order for them to interpret the world (with the right amount of guidance) as they see it. Keep in mind though that if a family portrays the right kind of picture (harmony, love bliss and propose) the child automatically picks these up and assimilates it into their thinking. However, if a negative picture is portrayed; then that is what the child grows to become (doubtful, hateful, obnoxious) . Therefore, families are important. They are pedestal for us in becoming much more in the world. Family must be nurtured.
