Employers Keep Asking and Asking
Published by: anonym 2008-08-08

You know, one of the things i once learnt, is that asking questions is the best way to learn.

but another way of learning is listening.

but questions are much more than just questions for learning.

These days people ask question and dont even wait for an answer or if they do, they dont listen to the answer.

you know life has thrown a whole heap of curve balls at me, and life just keeps on pitching them.

I got asked today if id mind wearing a uniform, i said thats fine.

then i got asked if id mind having my hair up, i said thats fine too.

then how bout different shoes, thats fine as well.

before those three questions it was nail polish, or this and that.

its like no matter how hard you try, your just never dolled up enough for them.

So they keep asking and asking and asking.

as if I had a choice anyway.

Its odd to me that they even bother asking, why not just throw a newsletter around stating “sky you now need to wear a uniform to work, your hair up, different shoes and more make up”.

anyway im just venting, but is it just me being unreasonable, or is there something more to it.

Have employers now gone out their way to drive their staff mad, by asking (or more like demanding) all these things from their staff.

And its almost, like you feel like your job is on the line if you dont do what they have asked.

Is this putting pressures on families and single parentS?

i know its putting alot of pressure on me, cause im on my own just me, my two kids and my cat.

And now i have to get up an hour earlier out of bed, to paint my face on, tie my hair up in some kind of torture type bun that some sadist invented back a thousand years ago, and iron all these “uniforms” , polish the shoes and drown myself in purfume.

meanwhile i still have to, get the kids out bed, do their breakfast, pack their lunches, get their clothes ready (ironing, finding the odd sock), get them in the shower, get them out of the shower, make them stop fighting, make them eat their breakfast, make sure they have all they need for school including homeworks, pencils, lunch, recess etc etc, get them to be focused for school, get them running out the door, run all the way to school, run all the way back and somehow with all that, my face is supposed to still be on and not running down my neck, my shoes still polished, my clothes still neat, my hair still torturing me in that bun.

OH Sure.. EASY!!!

im sure thats what they think, that its easy, its only a couple of things they are asking. But those couple of things, can throw off an entire morning or day and change the structure of a household.
All i know is that i cant wait till its five o’clock so i can finally pull my hair out of this bun and take a couple of aspirin for this headache induced by the bun of death and matching heels and not have to think about this stuff again till the next morning..

Let me know what you think.
