Do I Have to Tithe in Order to Receive Financial Success?
August 29, 2008

Yes, it is necessary to give in order to receive, and yes, if someone has pure belief about something then it is true for them and their reality shall be different than someone who does not have that pure belief.
However, this answer doesnt apply to whether or not its necessary to give. Let me explain why. On our spiritual path, there are levels of consciousness that are obtained as we grow. Within each level of consciousness are certain Truths.
As we obtain higher and higher states of consciousness, we assume these truths and we shed the illusions that we previously held on lower levels of consciousness.
That said, it is not in alignment with the higher states of consciousness to have a belief that its not necessary to give and to tithe. There is a consistent sense of perfection, desire and joy within higher states of consciousness that simply inspire giving.
The question of whether or not to tithe comes from a lower level of consciousness and cannot be separated from the fear that inspires it. If it cannot be separated from the fear, then it is a toxic and negative vibration and therefore does not hold a pure, positive vibration but just the opposite.
Giving, tithing, and sharing have higher vibrations than stockpiling, hoarding, and storing. When we give we experience concentrated moments of joy, freedom, gratitude, love, willingness, revelation, trust, certainty and peace.
When we hoard, even if its inspired hoarding, we miss out on the vibrations of joy from giving. Inevitably, we tap into that stream of consciousness that contaminates our vibration with fear.
Fears such as:
- Theres not enough.
- What if something bad happens?
- I have to protect myself and my family.
- I dont know how they will use my money; therefore I dont want to give it away.
- What if I go through what I went through before?
- I never want to be broke or poor again.
- I dont know how long this prosperity will last.
Heres another example to sharpen your perspective on this:
Some skeptics call law of attraction students hedonistic because we believe that we should do whatever feels good. They justify their name-calling, by following the linear rationalization which would imply that if we felt like committing a violent act, wed just do it. If we felt good about stealing, wed just steal. If we felt good about being promiscuous, irresponsible, careless, or selfish, were free to follow that self-indulgent, pleasure-seeking inspiration without consequence.
This is a gross misinterpretation of what we really know and the guidelines that we follow. We understand that we reap what we sow.
Murder, for example, is never inspired from a higher level of consciousness. No matter how much someone believes they can get away with it, the act itself is governed by a negative state of consciousness and therefore, has negative consequences. Even if a criminal avoids imprisonment or governmental consequences, the law of cause and effect will wield its own fury that cannot be avoided.
The same is true for tithing. When we refuse to give, we are yielding to a lower level of consciousness that will predictably and unsurprisingly cause less prosperity and more strife in our lives.
Therefore, even when we dont feel like tithing, find a way to joyously give and to share anyway because this automatically boosts your level of positive consciousness!
As my honey says in a mocking, pretentious faux-accent Anything less would be uncivilized.
