Did anybody ever bother to tell us that when we were growing up?
Noooooooooo. At least nobody ever told me. And I really firmly believe that to be true. Have you ever noticed that when you don’t have enough money you start stressing out? How will I pay the bills? How will I eat? Shoot, how will I even survive???? I’m going to be homeless and starve to death in the streets…And on the thoughts go, building on themselves until you are not a very happy person. All because of a lack of money.
So if that’s true, that the lack of money creates unhappiness, why wouldn’t the opposite be true? Money can buy happiness.
Oh, maybe not the exact dollar amount itself buying a state of mind (happiness) but what we can do with that money creates our happiness.
We can pay our bills on time (eliminate that stress!), we can buy things and stuff we like which in turn brings us joy and happiness. We can share, give, donate, if that’s what makes us happy. We can travel, enjoy our hobbies, and dance till dawn if we want all because or basics needs are being met plus extra.
So can money buy happiness?
Yes, yes, yes. Money can buy happiness!
