 Self-enhancement is the only true way to become a better person. The first step in enhancing yourself is by discovering what and who you really are, without that knowledge all progress is a waste of time. The foundation of the self must be included before any betterment can proceed. Being blind to your foundation can only lead to a wilderness, where the true self is lost. You must stop and get your bearings before marching on to becoming a better person. Many people don’t want to accept who and what they really are and turn to others for a positive self- image. Others become a magical mirror, and they think that only others can make them a better person. They think self-enhancement is impossible without social approval, and popularity is the only judge of self-worth. History is full of evil leaders and their slaves, all that those leaders offered were a new and better self-image to their soulless followers. The devil always offered the reward of becoming a better person in exchange for who you knew you really were. The only way to become a better person is by starting with self-acceptance, and use it as a foundation to build on. If you do that no devil or evil leader will ever influence you. One of the best ways to accept ones self is by discovering and enjoying personal interests, at first it should be things that you do alone. You will soon discover a beautiful life, and will know that you have become a better person.
